5 Lincoln archery teams going to state
More than 6,500 student archers from across the state are expected to take aim March 29 at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center in Louisville as one of the largest school archery tournaments in the country kicks off.
The 2018 National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) tournament, which will take place March 29-31, brings together participants in the fourth through 12th grade to showcase their skills.
And for the first time, Lincoln County High School, Lincoln County Middle Schol and Highland, Stanford and Waynesburg Elementaries will be competing together at the state level.
On Friday, March 30, Stanford Elementary, Highland Elementary, and Waynesburg Elementary will be shooting the standard archery tournament. The high school will be competing in 3D Challenge completion that day in Louisville as well.
On Saturday, March 31, the high school and middle school will be competing in regular state competition.
