Preschoolers in Ms. Andrea and Ms. Janie’s class at Crab Orchard Elementary did a study on the scientific method.  After a discussion of the poem Humpty Dumpty and what happened to him when he sat on the wall, the children brainstormed ideas on how the accident could have been prevented. Using a variety of materials from their Art Center, the students worked together in small groups to construct break-proof fall zones for Mr. Dumpty.  Experiments were conducted in the classroom to test the designs, and all teams were declared successful.
