Abigail Hale wins Snow Queen title at Christmas parade

ABIGAIL HALE was named the 2017 Snow Queen winner at the annual Christmas parade. Hale, who was sponsored by the LCHS Tennis Team, was escorted by Loren Melton. THERE WERE three special awards presented before the crowning of the Snow Queen winner. Kendra Gingrass, left, was presented the Caring Heart Award, Kira Lewis, center, was given the Warrior Award, and Emma Kaiser, right, was the Spirit Award winner. Abigail Hale reigned as Snow Queen over the Stanford-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce Christmas parade, being crowned on the steps of the Lincoln County Courthouse following the annual parade in downtown Stanford.
Hale, who was sponsored by the LCHS Tennis Team, was escorted by Loren Melton. She is the daughter of Dennis and Julie Hale of Hustonville. Melton is the son of Rodney and Stephanie Melton of Stanford.
First runner-up in the Snow Queen competition was Jessie Wilson. Wilson, the daughter of Mark and Kellie Wilson of Waynesburg, was sponsored by Partners for After School Success. She was escorted by Carter Story, son of Don and Kristen Story of Stanford.
Second runner-up was Tabitha Cain, the daughter of Troy and Georgeanna Cain of Stanford. She was sponsored by the National French Honor Society. Her escort was Jeremiah Mayo, son of David and Leah Mayo.

Gingrass, the daughter of Troy and Teresa Gingrass of Waynesburg, was escorted by Justin Buchanan, son of Brandy Justice and Jason Buchanan of Waynesburg, Lewis, the daughter of Kathy Gastineau and Paul Lewis of Stanford, was escorted by Morgan Gooch, son of Nathan Gooch and Rachel Ritter of Stanford, and Kaiser, the daughter of Andrew and Jennifer Kaiser of Stanford, was escorted by Austin Wethington, son of Brent and Ashley Atwood of Hustonville.
There would be four royals crowned during the Christmas event, with a Snow Countess, Snow Duchess and Snow Princess also being named.
The Snow Countess winner was Katie Beth Smith, daughter of Hank and Laura Smith of Stanford. She was escorted by Luke Isaacs, son of Scott and Amy Isaacs of Stanford.

This year’s Snow Princess winner was Stella Beth Hart. Hart, the daughter of Clayton and Diana Hart of Stanford, was escorted by Gabe Gander, the son of Chase and Brooke Gander of Stanford.
