Kudos to Lincoln County Animal Shelter volunteers

My Thanksgiving holiday was made better by a group of people I may never meet. I was scrolling through my Facebook last Tuesday when I saw a post from “Volunteers of Lincoln County Animal Shelter.”
I follow the page and regularly share posts featuring animals up for adoption – at times, it can be depressing to know how many animals are there waiting for someone to save them – but the post I shared Tuesday was quite different.
The post read: “We have officially cleared out everyone just in time for the holiday! We are so thankful for all of our fosters, rescues and any donations/pledges we have received! We hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!”
The volunteerism in this community never falls short of amazing and this is yet another example of that.
I personally want to thank everyone who helped put these animals in caring homes over the holidays and left our shelter empty. I know my Thanksgiving holiday was made better because of it and judging by the many comments, likes and shares, I think it’s safe to say I’m not the only one.
Thank you for the time and effort you gave willingly to make this happen and for your continued dedication to the animals in this county and across the state.
