Congratulations are in order for Lincoln County High School teacher Joanna Stevens after she was named a presenter at the National Conference for Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) 2018 Annual Meeting & Exhibition in Washington, D.C.
At the upcoming NCTM meeting, thousands of educators will be brought together for the premiere math education event of the year to enhance their professional skills, knowledge, and careers.
During the NCTM Annual Meeting, teachers will have the opportunity to network and exchange ideas, engage with innovation in the field, and discover new learning practices that will drive student success.
The program committee accepted a proposal, “Fostering a Growth Mindset for All Students,” written by Mrs. Stevens, to be presented at the annual meeting. During her presentation, Joanna will be sharing how she develops and maintains a growth mindset to help students succeed in the math classroom.
