LCMS runners compete in Disney Cross Country Classic

The Lincoln County Middle School cross country teams recently enjoyed a working vacation in Florida, traveling to ESPN’s Wide World of Sports in Orlando to participate in the 2017 Disney Cross Country Classic.
The Lincoln girls placed 13th out of 27 teams, with a field of 310 runners competing in the race.
Alexis Slone had the high finish for Lincoln, placing 38th in 13:04.9.
Ava Morgan followed Slone across in 47th place in a time of 13:17.8, Constance Johnson ran 51st in 13:20.6, Angelique Coyne was 256th in 19:59.9, Trinity Price was 269th in 20:34.1 and Yunaliska Gooch placed 308th in 24:36.5.
With only four runners on course in the boys race Lincoln did not post a team score in the field of 325 athletes.
Toby Sallee had Lincoln’s best time of 14:35.5 to place him 211th overall.
Keaton Pendleton came in in the 291st spot in 17:37.1, Ethan Lane was 319th in 21:48.9 and Ethan Miller ran 321st in 21:58.8.
