Lucy Singleton posted the high finish for the Lincoln County track and field teams Tuesday in the Danville All-Comers Meet at Admiral Stadium, taking the runner-up spot in the girls 800-meter run.
Singleton, an eighth-grade athlete, covered the distance in 2:37.21. The Lady Patriot runner was involved in the bulk of Lincoln’s scoring in the meet, adding points as a member of the girls 3200-, 800- and 400-meter relay teams. The 3200 team of Shayley Reed, Singleton, Katherine Rowe and Ava Morgan placed third in 11:14.09, the 800 team of Singleton, Alexa Wesley, Bianca Long and Maddy Slone placed fifth in 2:05.57 and the 400 team, which also included Singleton, Long, Wesley and Slone, took seventh in 1:01.78.
Kara Linn Loudermilk, a seventh-grade field competitor, scored in two events at the meet, finishing fifth in both long jump (12-08.00) and triple jump (28.06.50). She was also seventh in high jump with 4-04.00.
