Raevonna Lynn (Floyd) Hall Poynter, 47, of Stanford, died Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Fort Logan Hospital.
Born September 1, 1969, in Boyle County, Raevonna was the daughter of Ray and Phyllis (Taylor) Floyd. She was a well-loved teacher at the Lincoln County High School where she had taught English for over 18 years. Raevonna received her Masters Degree in teaching at EKU. She was a member of the Blue Lick Baptist Church and the widow of Robert Lee Poynter who preceded her in death on August 14, 2016.
Survivors Include her parents, Ray and Phyllis Floyd; son, Clinton Hall and wife Haley; daughter, Cierra “C.C.” Taylor Hall; stepsons, Tyler, Chase and Gavin Poynter; sister, Tawanna and husband Scott Manz; and two grandchildren, Cullen and Holly.
Funeral services are at 11 a.m. today (Thursday, March 9) at Blue Lick Baptist Church with Bro. Chester Cornett officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8 at Blue Lick Baptist Church.
Active pallbearers are Richard Floyd, Noah Hall, Tyler Poynter, Justin Miracle, Rodney Miracle and Winston Gilliam. Honorary pallbearers are Mark and Tim Young, Jimmy Floyd and former students.
