Kentucky Districts Honored for Outstanding Achievement

The Kentucky Educational Development Corporation (KEDC) honors member school districts with a banner for their outstanding achievement as a District of Distinction, Distinguished District, or Proficient District named thru Kentucky’s accountability system. Districts are classified as Distinguished with district scores from the 90th to 99th percentile in the state and Proficient with district scores from the 70th to 89th percentile in the state. A District of Distinction is awarded by the Kentucky Department of Education to Kentucky school districts who exhibit test scores from the 95th to 99th percentile, has met its current year AMO, student participation rate, graduation rate goal and the graduation rate is above 60 for the prior two years and cannot have a school labeled as Priority or Focus. KEDC has been serving member school districts for over 50 years in supporting areas such as instruction, technology, and special education.
Lincoln County was named a Distinguished District.
