Sara’s Notes

Here’s hoping that everyone had a good and happy Thanksgiving weekend. Now it is time to focus on Christmas as so many people have already set their minds on December. This too keeps all of us in the mode of Thanksgiving. My point is that every day is a day of being thankful for what God has done and still doing for all of us.
These notes are a little different this week. Perhaps I’m feeling some sort of way, perhaps I’m thinking of things that are more important, like my faith, my family, the community that I live in which includes friends and other loved ones. Faith is the foundation of all that we want to achieve, without it, what would we do? Family is the anchor, keeping us grounded, supporting us and allowing us to stay focused while giving meaning to all of our endeavors. My family and my church family are so important to me.
Just knowing that we are never alone as we go through life is reason enough for a celebration and thanksgiving.
How thankful I feel today and every day for the simple things in life. So many things in life are taken for granted, so today I look at things with “new eyes” because I’ve lived long enough to learn that no matter what happens, good or bad, there is a blessing and a lesson to be learned.
Yes, today I guess I’m feeling some kind of way.
Thought for the week: Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7.
Love is a force more formidable than any other. It is invisible – yet it is powerful enough to transform you in a moment and offer you more joy than any material possession could.
Be thankful!!!!
