The 52nd annual Ewell and Ella Saylor Hopkins reunion was held Saturday, Sept. 3 at the William Whitley House near Crab Orchard. Ella Saylor Hopkins died in 1960 and after Ewell’s death in 1965, their children determine to get together once a year for a reunion in remembrance of their parents. Their only surviving child, Eunice Hopkins Causey, was able to be with us this year and we were all very delighted to see her. We had 75 guests in attendance this year. After the blessing was given by Kevin Bandura, everyone enjoyed a large potluck dinner and some great fellowships.
Those in attendance were: Eunice Hopkins Causey, Danny Causey, Brenda Gabbard, Larry and Sadie Causey, Lester and Shelley Hopkinis, Robert and Rachel Speer, Phillip Speer, Josh Speer, Lucas Hopkins, Matthew Hopkins, Marshall Brown Scott, Josh, Jessica and London Fletcher; Gladys Saylor, Theatrice Fish, Theresa Lura, Shelby Roy and Deborah Hopkins, Daniel, Mary and Will Hopkins; Jessica Sayre, Toni Hopkins, David and Wilma Hopkins Lubecki, David and Tammy Hopkins, Dorothy Lear Mullins, Allen and Carla Lear Roberts, Russ Lear, Matthew Lear, Lynn Grant, Roger and Caroline Durham, Roger and Phyllis Hopkins Adams, Judy Dyehouse Hammons, Stephenie Duncan, Kevin, Jennifer and Kaycie Bandura, Kenneth and Kathy Dyehouse, Marvin and Rhonda Dyehouse Marshbanks, Ottie and Barb Saylor Comley, Patricia Olsen, Robert Olsen, Jennifer Burt, Gage Burt, Janice Fain, Joan Lansaw and her best friend Paula, Noah Isaacs, Colton Lansaw, Della Coyler, Loraine Hopkins Masters, William and Loretta Masters Wilson, Teresa Warren and Tristan, Robert and Letha Masters and Jasmine, Dorothy Hopkins Masters, Dee Harris Crimmons and Ken Crimmons, David and Paula Hopkins.
