Lincoln County’s cross country teams took to the fields and hills around Admiral Stadium in Danville Saturday for the annual E.G. Plummer Invitational. Lady Patriot junior Brecken Wren had the Lincoln girls varsity’s high finish in the meet by placing 37th out of 94 runners in the 5K in 27:40.20. Gabe Singleton was the Patriot varsity’s top runner, crossing the finish line in 21:27.40 to place 64th out of 174.
