Kentucky State Police are currently investigating the shooting involving the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office that occurred on April 1. The KSP investigation is being done at the request of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

The shooting occurred just before 3:30 p.m. Saturday on Denny Road about 5 miles south of Crab Orchard. One male subject was transported to the hospital for treatment, according to the state police, and his condition has not been released.

Kentucky State Police have statewide jurisdiction for investigating officer-involved shootings in Kentucky. The investigation is ongoing, and it is standard KSP procedure to not release specific details until an investigation is complete.
