Velma Cooper Nunnelley, 101, of Albany, OR (formerly of Stanford, KY), passed away on March 16, 2023. She was born on June 6, 1921 in Kentucky to the late Frank and Jessie Peek Cooper. She is the widow of the late Lewis Reno Nunnelley. She was a member of Stanford Christian Church. She was also a member of the Garden Club, Homemakers Association and a Cub Scout Den Mother.
Survivors include one son, Lewis Lee Nunnelley (Helen) of Corvallis, OR.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Nunnelley; parents, Frank and Jessie Cooper; and two sisters, Catheryne Cooper Wilson and Dorothy Cooper Austin.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 24, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
