Dontaie Allen was the Conference USA Player of the Week after averaging 23.5 points and seven in two games.

Allen, a junior redshirt who transferred to WKU  from UK, had his first two collegiate starts last week for the Hilltoppers, averaging 23.5 points and seven rebounds.

Along with his points and rebound totals, Allen averaged 1.5 assists, one steal and shot a 50 percent clip in two wins notched by the Hilltoppers. His back-to-back games with 22 points or more is just the second time a WKU player has accomplished that feat this year.

Other Hilltoppers who earned Player of the Week honors this year are Dayvion McKinight (Dec. 12, Jan. 16) and Luke Frampton (Nov. 14). This is the second season in a row that WKU has had three different players earn that title in a single season. WKU also had four players named to the honor in the 2019-20 season.

WKU is back in action against Middle Tennessee on Thursday (9 p.m. EST), closing out a three-game homestand. The game is being touted as “White Out” night for the Hilltoppers.
