Earl Neeley 87, joined his wife of 56 years in heaven on Sunday, July 3rd, 2022, surrounded by his children. Born on August 5th 1934 to Charles and Emma (Butler) Neeley in Amo, Indiana. In his youth he moved to Kentucky where he met the love of his life Edna Lamb in Lancaster, Kentucky, a marriage that lasted 56 years until her passing in 2010. Leaving Kentucky in 1957, he moved his family back to Indiana where he worked alongside his father drywalling. Later, he and his brother Larry started their own business “Neeley’s Drywall”, which many homes and businesses to this day still display their craft. He was a proud member of Local # 859 Carpenters Union for over 30 years. When he wasn’t working and raising the children, he loved to fish and be outdoors. After his retirement from American Drywall, he and his wife moved to Stanford Kentucky where they attended the Waynesburg Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by 5 children: Donna Hargett (Jimmie) – Greencastle Earl Gordon Neeley (Dee) – Cloverdale Paul Neeley (Joie) – Brazil, Steve Neeley (Melinda) – Greencastle Gary Neeley (Gail) – Camby 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren Plus, many nieces and nephews and cousins from Indiana and Kentucky and all his fellow co-workers and friends from his days of drywalling. He was proceeded in death by his wife Edna (Lamb) Neeley, a son Roger Neeley, his parents, his step mother Stella Neeley, 3 brothers, Don, James and Larry Neeley, daughter in law, Sherri Neeley, 1 granddaughter, Tanya Neeley and great granddaughter Amelia Shea. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him. Services will be held at the Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford Kentucky.

A one-day service has been scheduled for Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest next to his wife at the Lancaster Cemetery in Lancaster Kentucky.
