| Mr. Arthur M. Denny, 81 of Norwood, Ohio passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022 at his home. Arthur was born in Broughtontown, KY on March 31, 1941, a son of the late Eliza (Mullins) and James Payton Denny. In 1966 he wed his beloved bride, Karlene (Bielser) Denny and they enjoyed 46 years together prior to her passing on January 7, 2013. Arthur was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War for the US 1st Cavalry regiment and 1st infantry division. He had worked 27 years as owner and storekeeper for Muse Food Market in Norwood until his retirement in 1997. Arthur was a faithful member of Cameron Avenue Church of God and when he was able he enjoyed traveling and fishing. He was also an avid card player and enjoyed playing solitaire. Arthur is survived by his two sons: Steve Denny & His Wife, Corina of Liberty Township; Joel Denny & His Wife, Tricia of Bremen, Ohio; Six grandchildren: Jorden, Erika, Alexandria, Lauren, William & Jackson; Two sisters: Lucille & Husband, Winfred Muse of Stanford and Rosetta Braley of Brodhead; Two brothers: Leroy Denny of West Chester, Ohio and Elbert Ray Denny of Crab Orchard. In addition to his parents and loving wife, Arthur was preceded in death by four siblings: Stella Denny, James Payton Denny, Jr., James Hobert Denny and Ronnie Denny. Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at McKnight Funeral Home with a visitation beginning at 11am until funeral time. Burial will follow at the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Steve, Joel, Jorden, William & Jackson Denny will serve as pallbearers. |
