Daisy Bowman Martin, 71, of Lancaster, KY passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 12, 2022. Born on January 15, 1951 in Booneville, KY to the late Susie Chandler and John Bowman, Jr. She was a devoted servant of the Lord and a member of Green River Pentecostal Church for over 25 years.She worked at Perkins Restaurant & Bakery in Cincinnati from 1987-1997. She retired from AmericanGreetings after 15 years of employment. She was an example of a God fearing, compassionate and kind person that will be missed by all that knew her. Rest in peace. We love you.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 26 years, Larry J. Martin; three stepchildren, Rhonda Martin of South Carolina, Michael Martin (Susan) and Darren Martin, both of Cincinnati, OH; five grandchildren, Rena Shaw (Matt), Ben Martin, Nora Martin, Celia Martin and Leah Martin; one great-grandchild, Ian Shaw. Sisters; Della Wethington, Jan Dean and Gladys Gehling; and a special friend, Francis Sloan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Susie Chandler and John Bowman, Jr.
Visitation has been scheduled for Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Green River Pentecostal Church. The funeral service will be on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Green River Pentecostal Church, with Bro. Rick Naylor officiating. Burial will follow at New Salem Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers are Jeremy Todd, Bobby Brown, Danny Jordan, Orlis Sparkman, Dennis Sims and Ben Martin. Honorary Pallbearer is Ben Naylor.
