Virginia Durham, 86, of Stanford, passed away Tuesday, March 22nd, at her home. She was the widow of Virgil Durham who preceded her in death on December 17, 2006. Virginia was born in Lincoln County, Kentucky on April 1, 1935, a daughter of the late Frank and Delphia (Woods) Martin. Virginia retired from the Fort Logan Hospital after 18 1/2 years as a cook. She was a member of the Pine Grove Church of Christ and loved spending time with her family. Virginia enjoyed canning, sewing, working puzzles and deeply enjoyed picking blackberries.
Survivors Include her Daughter, Sally “Libby” Durham; Son, Virgil “Frankie” Durham; Son, Billy Ray “Bull” Durham; Two Brothers, Elmer & Paul Martin; Three Sisters, Ima Jean Goggin, Glenna Fabian & Linda Curlis; Nine Grandchildren; Nineteen Great Grandchildren; Seven Great Great Grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by a son, Delbert Lee “Pee Wee” Durham; Three Brothers: J.C., Bud, and Charles Martin and two Sisters, Florence Reynolds and Eva Bradley.
Pallbearers were Frankie, Bull, Robbie, Matt, Anthony & Brandon Durham & Dallas Martin and Honorary Pallbearers were Gayle Brock, Mendy Southerland, Sylvia Durham & Crystal Durham
Funeral Services where held at 12 Noon on Monday, March 28, 2022 at McKnight Funeral Home with Bro. Curt Herrington officiating. Burial was in the Danville Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 27th after 5:00 PM at McKnight Funeral Home.
