Not to Forget, a feature film shot in Danville, Stanford, Junction City, and Perryville two years ago, will premier Nov. 26, at the Danville Cinemas 8 and play for a week and perhaps longer. It will also open nationally in a limited theatrical release and on Video On Demand on that date.

The film was directed by Valerio Zanoli of Las Vegas and is distributed by Vertical Entertainment.

The film stars no less than five Academy award Winners; Louis Gossett Jr., Tatum O’Neal, and George Chakiris. It was also the last acting role for the late Academy Award winners Olympia Dukakis and Cloris Leachman.

The film tells a story of a young con artist coming to Kentucky to rip off his grandmother and his values are changed by the ordeal.

Pioneer Playhouse’s Robby Henson served as production designer on the film. Lexington-based actor Kevin Hardesty has a large role, and many Kentucky-based crew and actors are featured. Danville’s own Police Chief Tony Gray can be seen in the film pursuing the young con-artist actor. Many area farms and well-known locations are featured.

Several of the local actors and crew will attend the 7:35 p.m. Nov 26 premiere screening. That screening is open to the public and tickets can be purchased in advance at Danville Cinemas 8. The film will continue to play for at least a week after that and maybe longer if it does well.
