Lincoln County School District recently surveyed the community to gauge whether or not they thought masks should be “OPTIONAL” or “MANDATED” for students, staff, and visitors of Lincoln County Schools. Of those who responded, 88.4% of the 2,597 said masks should be OPTIONAL.

Should masks be mandatory or optional:
• Students (94% optional – 6% mandated) 190 responses
• Staff (88% optional – 12% mandated) 363 responses
• Parents (84% optional – 16% mandated) 1167 responses
• Community members (89% optional – 11% mandated) 877 responses

• Crab Orchard Elementary (93% optional – 7% mandated) 110 responses
• Highland Elementary (85% optional – 15% mandated) 117 responses
• Hustonville Elementary (88% optional – 12% mandated) 194 responses
• Stanford Elementary (82% optional – 18% mandated) 277 responses
• Waynesburg Elementary (92% optional – 8% mandated) 106 responses
• LCMS (89% optional – 11% mandated) 460 responses
• LCHS (90% optional – 10% mandated) 1093 responses
• District (92% optional – 8% mandated) 45 responses
• Community/no school affiliation (89% optional – 11% mandated) 195 responses
