STANFORD – On Saturday, the City of Stanford held a Patriot Day Parade in remembrance of those lives lost 20 years ago on Sept. 11, 2001, and in honor of those who have served, continue to serve and plan to serve in the United States military.
The Grand Marshall of Saturday’s parade was World War II Veteran Ottis L. Cave. Cave, who is 95 years old, served in Casablanca, North Africa. The parade featured local law enforcement, fire fighters, veterans, civic groups and more. Lincoln County Middle School Cheerleaders also carried 13 flags in honor of the 13 U.S. Service members who were killed recently in Kabul.
