Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies have made several drug-related arrests in the last month.

• On July 26 at about 12:20 a.m., Jerry McAninch, 49, and Teawanna Reynolds, 30, were arrested on charges of drug-trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deputies traveled to 492 M. Sims Road after a call to Bluegrass 911 reported that three men were with McAninch at his residence and allegedly “getting high and had a stolen tractor and chopped up stolen motorcycle,” according to the arrest citation.
When deputies arrived at the residence, McAninch and Reynolds both came to the rear porch and “appeared to be very upset.”
“McAninch stated that they were in his barn trying to kill him,” the arrest citation states.
Deputies offered to check the house for any intruders and McAninch agreed, according to the citation.
“During a search for persons, on the kitchen table was empty baggies, in the floor was a open black box with scales, a baggy with white crystal substance,” the citation states.
McAninch gave deputies consent to search the rest of the house, during which deputies located approximately six grams of suspected methamphetamine, as well as digital scales, ledgers, and various denominations of U.S. currency.
McAninch denied ownership of the items but “stated that he was high,” according to the arrest citation.
Reynolds and McAninch were both arrested by K9 Sgt. Michael Mullins and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On Aug. 4 at about 1:27 a.m., a Whitley County woman was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop in Lincoln County.
Katie J. Cummins, 38, of Corbin, was arrested by K9 Sgt. Michael Mullins on U.S. Hwy. 150.
According to the arrest citation, Mullins stopped a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Cummins due to the license plate not being illuminated.
Cummins was asked if there was anything illegal in the vehicle and was seen “reaching in the back seat,” according to the citation.
During the traffic stop, It was confirmed that Cummins had an active warrant.
K9 Sgt. Mullins deployed K9 Luma around the vehicle with “alert to the DS (driver’s side) door,” the citation states.
A search of the vehicle located a baggy containing suspected methamphetamine inside of a Crown Royal bag, as well as digital scales.
Cummins allegedly told the deputy she used methamphetamine that day. She was arrested and charged with several traffic violations as well as possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine); possession of drug paraphernalia; and endangering the welfare of a minor.• A Hustonville man was arrested on drug-related charges on Aug. 7 at about 11:15 p.m. after being stopped in his vehicle by a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy.
Billy S. Davis, 47, of Holtzclaw Lane, was stopped by Deputy Dewayne Taylor on U.S. Hwy. 127 for speeding.
According to the arrest citation, Davis “kept reaching into his pockets.” Davis gave the deputy consent to search him and was allegedly found in possession of a glass pipe located in his left, front pocket.
Davis told deputies that he “had meth in a Marlboro pack.” A white crystal substance in a clear baggy was found, as well as a brown, powdered substance in a clear baggy that was located in his right, front pocket.
David allegedly stated the brown substance was heroin. Deputy Taylor also located six pills in a clear fuse box.
The brown substance weighed approximately 3.9 grams and the white, crystal substance weighed approximately .6 grams, according to the arrest citation.
Davis was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin); possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine); and possession of a controlled substance (unknown drug type).

• A Lancaster woman was arrested at about 12:50 p.m. on Aug. 12 by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Detective Rob Oney after he responded to a residence for a domestic situation.
According to the arrest citation, Oney and Sgt. Mike Mullins responded to a residence on White Oak Road, where Michelle D. Hopkins, 44, of Ponderosa Dr. in Lancaster had allegedly been involved in an argument with her boyfriend.
When law enforcement arrived, Hopkins fled on foot and was found “hiding behind a building,” according to the citation.
Hopkins allegedly resisted arrest but was eventually placed in handcuffs, continuing to resist arrest as she was escorted to the police car.
Deputies located 4.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine in a pill bottle hidden in Hopkins’ bra.
Hopkins was arrested and charged with fleeing or evading police (on foot); resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
