Elmer Eugene “Blue” Denney

1947-2021

Elmer Eugene “Blue” Denney, 73, of Crab Orchard, passed away Thursday, May 13th, at his home. He was the husband of Roselene (Irvin) Denney whom he married on January 29, 1994.

Eugene was born in Lincoln County, Kentucky on November 23, 1947 to the late Milton P. and Violet Marie (Brown) Denney. He had worked as a maintenance engineer for the National Linen Service for over 37 years. Eugene was a member of the New Hope First Church of God and enjoyed gardening, yard work, fishing and watching Matt Dillon.

Survivors include his Wife, Roselene Denney of Crab Orchard; Son, Jonathan Denney of Mansville, Texas; Step Son, James Douglas Brock & Companion Jan; Step Son, Gregory Dale Brock & Wife, Benita of Crab Orchard; Sister, Brenda & Husband, Travis Watson of Crab Orchard; Brother, Milton Denney & Wife, Lynne of Columbus, IN; Brother, Kenny Denney & Wife, Charlene of Crab Orchard; Several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren also survive.

In addition to his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by a Brother, Frank Denney.

Pallbearers were Hunter & Brandon Brock, Hunter Denson, Jerry Day, Greg Denney & Avery Estep

Funeral Services were held 11:00 AM, Monday, May 17, 2021 at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Grizzell officiating. Burial was in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
