Ann Abell’s life was filled with her family, her friends, and her love of home. After graduating from Stanford high school in 1951 she married Albert. When he was away in the Korean war, she graduated from Crump Commerce College in Lexington Ky., with a business degree. She and Albert started their family soon after his return from the war.

Always active, Ann Abell hunted, fished, played games and sports with her husband and four boys.
She had many lifelong friends and always welcome new friends into her life, including her very-much loved daughters-in-law. Ann Abell started a second career as an office worker for Kentucky Utilities where she added to her circle of friends.
While she and Albert traveled, Ann Abell always loved being home the best. Long Sunday drives through Lincoln, Garrard and Bolye Counties were one of her favorite past times, something she shared later in her life when widowed with her special friend, Jeff Jefferies.
Ann Abell also found time to be a Cub Scout den mother, PTA volunteer, hospital auxiliary volunteer, county clerk’s office archive volunteer, and was a loyal member of New Beginnings Methodist Church.
