Carolyn Jean Davis Rankin, 91, of Stanford passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2020. Born October 29, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Clay Perry Davis, Sr. and Nancy Meeks Davis. Carolyn was very involved with her family and community. She took pride in her garden, including flowers that were often the source of bouquets at Stanford Presbyterian Church where she was a life-long member. She was active in choir, Sunday School, VBS, and had served as a deacon and elder. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Doty Rankin; brother, Clay Davis, Jr; and sister, Martha Camenisch. She is survived by two sons, Dr. Michael Rankin of Boyle County and Paul (Wanda) Rankin of Stanford; brother, Burnett Davis of Florida; and three grandchildren: Joshua (Dr. Miranda) Rankin of Lincoln County, Matthew (Amanda) Rankin of Stanford, and Joseph (Krista) Rankin of Stanford; and eight great grandchildren.
