Zelma (Hood) Barker, 88 of Ripley, Ohio formerly of Crab Orchard passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2020, at the Ohio Valley Manor. Zelma was the wife of Robert Barker, Jr. who preceded her in death on April 21, 2002. She was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on Oct. 8, 1931, to the late Henry & Alta Mae (Bullock) Hood. She had formerly worked for Durkee Foods in Sharonville, Ohio. Zelma was a loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her Son, Mike Barker & his Wife Dorothy of Mason, Ohio; daughter, Deborah, and her husband Jeff Day of Georgetown, Ohio; Six Grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild also survive.

In addition to her parents and husband, Zelma was preceded in death by a son, Danny Dale Barker and her siblings: Ed Hood, Jesse Hood, John Hood, Shelby Hood, Jean (Hood) Toadvine, and Rose Betheleen (Hood) Slusher.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 1st at 12 Noon at the Ottawa Cemetery in Brodhead, Kentucky.
