A procession made up of Stanford and Lincoln County first responders, as well as other agencies including the Kentucky State Police, led the Lincoln County Coroner’s van carrying the body of Stanford Mayor Scottie Ernst home Wednesday morning. Ernst died Tuesday afternoon as the result of a mowing accident. His body was being returned home from Frankfort following an autopsy. Funeral arrangements have not been announced, but will be published in The Interior Journal, and on our website and social media when available.
