Helen Irene Caudill Bishop, 83

Helen Irene Caudill Bishop, age 83, Keystone Heights, Florida, formerly from Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away at home Tuesday, April 21, 2020. She was born Feb. 28, 1937 in Blackey, Kentucky, to the late George Matthew and Dora Alice Fields Caudill. Irene was the widow of Thurman Victor Bishop, whom she married on Jan. 29, 1955. She was a graduate of Memorial HS in Lincoln Co. KY. She was a former teacher’s aide at Waynesburg Elementary, an EMT who volunteered with the Waynesburg Rescue Squad and was a secretary in Stanford, Ky. She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Olustee, OK and active in Gadara Baptist Church in McRae, FL. She was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star and a Past Matron. Irene was an avid reader, an accomplished seamstress and a professional cake decorator. She had a passion for traveling. She lived in Panama and Japan. She has been in all 50 states and several foreign countries. Irene was preceded in death by four sisters Anna Eldridge, Alta Stamper, Julia Powers and Rebexie Benton and four brothers Beckham Caudill, Reuben Caudill, John Caudill and James Caudill. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters Deborah F. Bishop and V. Diane Jasmin-Slattery (William “Bill” J. Slattery III) of Keystone Heights and two grandsons Gregory P. Jasmin Jr. of Middleburg, FL and Corey S. Jasmin (Jennifer Hampton Jasmin) of Mims, FL along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. A private Graveside service will be held at the Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at 1:00PM . A Memorial Service will be held at Gadara Baptist Church at a Later date. Memorial gifts may be sent to Gadara Baptist Church Building Fund, 6779 County Road 315-C, Keystone Heights, FL 32656. James Ray “Jimbo” Payne

1950-2020

James Ray “Jimbo” Payne, 69, of Stanford, KY passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020. Born on September 2, 1950 in Lebanon Junction, KY to the late Emery Duke Payne, Sr. and Doris Karnes Payne. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy and an original member of American Legion Post #345.

Survivors include a brother, Emery Duke Payne, Jr. of Crab Orchard, KY; a sister, Flora Elizabeth Bailey (Leslie) of Stanford, KY; special niece, Doris McKinney (Donnie) of Danville, KY and several other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Alfred Payne and David Allen Payne.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date with burial following at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Full Military Honors will be performed by Caswell Saufley Post #18.

Honorary Pallbearers are David Reik, Jon Smith, Roger Reeves, Colby Reik, Austin Reik, Robert Denny and Leslie Bailey.
