The Site-Based Decision-Making Council at Lincoln County Middle School voted 8-0 Tuesday night to name Stacy Story as the new principal at Lincoln County Middle School. Story had been the interim principal at the school since last August.

Story is a graduate of Lincoln County High School and a veteran educator. She holds a bachelor’s of science degree from Western Kentucky University, as well as a master’s degree in library science and Rank 1 in principalship from Eastern Kentucky University.

“I am so excited about being able to call LCMS my official home,” said Story. “It is an honor to be able to continue to serve in Lincoln County. It didn’t take long to fall in love with the school and I’m all in. Our motto this year has been ‘on the move’ and I’m ready to continue to be on the move, doing whatever it takes for the students, staff, and learning community to continue to move forward. This is a great place and I’m thankful to be a part of it.”

She began her teaching career at Northwest High School in Clarksville, Tennessee. After teaching there, she served as a forensics coach at Russellville High School and as an English teacher and interventionist at Lincoln County High School. Story has also served as the academic performance consultant and assistant principal at Lincoln County High School since 2016.

Lincoln County Schools Superintendent Mike Rowe said, “The council unanimously selected Mrs. Story Tuesday night and were all pleased with the great job she’s done as interim principal. We are excited to remove the interim label and look forward to her leadership and stability at the middle school.”

Story enjoys spending time with her husband, Dan, and two daughters in her free time. She also loves to help out with the youth at her church and to watch a movie when she gets time.
