The Lincoln County Middle School boys basketball teams were almost perfect on the hardwood in their three latest outings, sweeping Salt River Conference rivals Mercer County and Boyle County while going 2-1 against Rockcastle County.

The only blemish in the three outings was a 34-32 loss to visiting Rockcastle County in sixth-grade action. The sixth-graders, who are coached by Lewis Cummins, move to 16-7 overall and 6-2 in the SRC.

The seventh-grade team, coached by Carl-Lewis Cummins, improved to 13-6 with its wins over Rockcastle, Mercer and Boyle and 5-3 in the SRC. The eighth-grade team, led by coach Eric Ralston, improved to 18-4 and 7-1 with the wins.
