Lincoln County Farm Bureau Outstanding Youth and Variety Contests will be held Tuesday, October 8, at 7 p.m. at the Stanford Baptist Church. Interviews for Outstanding Youth Contest begin at 6 p.m.

Applications are available at the Lincoln County Farm Bureau office.

Rules for the Outstanding Youth Contest are:

•Contestant must be a member of a Farm Bureau family, must enter the contest in the county where membership is paid.

•Contestants must be 14 years old, but not have reached 19 years old by January 1 of following year.

•Contest will consist of personal interview of seven minutes, followed by the on-stage portion of the competition which consists of a two minute prepared speech given by contestant on a topic relating to Farm Bureau or agriculture.

Rules for Variety Contest are:

•Contestants must be a member of a Farm Bureau family and must enter the contest in the county where the membership is paid.

•Contestants must be 9 years old but not have reached 19 years old by January 1 of following year.
