David Cornelius of Stanford, who has been a high school football official for three decades, announced his retirement before the start of the 2019 football season.
The Lincoln County High School Athletic Department honored Cornelius’ retirement at the Lincoln-East Jessamine football game on Aug. 30.
Cornelius was joined on the LCHS track during the halftime celebration by his wife, Jessica, his children, Carrie Cornelius Wilson and Chris Cornelius and his wife, Dana, and grandchildren Cruise Wilson and Merrik and Maverick Cornelius.
