Work is expected to be completed by May 2020. Signed detour routes will be posted. The starting date and duration of work may be adjusted for inclement weather or other unforeseeable delays.

The Somerset Street closure was not the only roadway closure affecting Lincoln County traffic as of Wednesday.

On Monday, the Department of Highways announced that it was temporarily closing KY 70 in Pulaski County to through traffic to allow for cross drain replacement beneath the roadway. The closure, which was to begin at the Lincoln/Pulaski County line and end at Shady Lane/Old KY 70 (mile point 2.2), began at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday and the road was scheduled to be reopened by 4 p.m. that afternoon.
