STANFORD — The postseason is here!

The schedule for the 45th District Baseball Tournament and 45th District Softball Tournament have been announced, with action set for May 18-21.

The 45th District Baseball Tournament will be hosted by Lincoln County High School on Saturday, May 18, and Sunday, May 19, and Garrard County is serving as host of the 45th District Softball Tournament on Monday, May 20, and Tuesday, May 21.

In baseball, top-seeded Danville will play fourth-seeded Garrard County in Saturday’s opener at noon. No. 2 Boyle County will play host Lincoln County, the fourth seed, in the second game at 2:30 p.m.

The championship game will be played Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

Softball action will get underway Monday night at 6 p.m. at Garrard County Middle School, with top-seeded Boyle County taking on the four seed, Danville. Host Garrard, the No. 2 seed, will play third-seeded Lincoln in the nightcap at 7:45 p.m.

The championship game will be played Tuesday at 7 p.m.

The top two teams from each tournament advance to region. The baseball regional will be hosted by Wayne County and the softball regional will be hosted by the 46th District champion.
