Kallie Bailey, Rachel Hester, and Joseph Hampton sang a special Sunday, April 28 prior to the morning message. They sang of the cross and Jesus’ death, of the grave, and His resurrection. “Forever He is risen; He is alive! We sing hallelujah; the Lamb has overcome!” Wonderful words and meaning!

“What a Healthy Church Looks Like” from 1 Thessalonians 5:12-15 was the topic and site of Bro. Kyle’s message. No church is perfect; every church has problems; however, it does not lessen the importance of the church. The church has the key to any barrier and is a haven of true healing. But we need to remember a church is not a building; it is the people.

The three relationships in a church are as follows: pastor to people, people to pastors, and people to people. A pastor has three roles for his people: labor, leadership, and admonishment. People, according to Paul, need to honor their leaders. We should strive to be a healthy growing Christ follower. The church is the people. Healthy relationships are important to the growth of the church; we need to build up one another. Paul gave examples of how this works. We need to warn those who are idle and neglecting their responsibilities to others. We need to comfort the discouraged, help the weak, and be patient with people. In summary, love people where they are, discover how to help, and be gracious.
