Eight of Danville’s prettiest private gardens will be on display when the Garden Club of Danville holds its third annual Garden Tour on Saturday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

These gardens display a variety of styles full of inspiration and imagination. Six of the gardens are concentrated near downtown and two are on the outskirts of town. There are small and large gardens, formal and casual, and two designed especially for native plants and pollinators. Local artists will be creating their art in each garden.

Two of the properties are on the National Register of Historic Places and five are in National Historic Districts. In celebration of Preservation Month in May, the Heart of Danville has produced posters detailing the history of each house. The framed posters will be on display at the Boyle County Public Library for the month of May and will be at each garden the day of the tour. The houses will not be open.
