The Lincoln County track and field teams faced some tough competition pitted against athletes from Boyle County, Danville and Mercer County at Boyle’s All-Comers Meet.

That by no means led to a struggle for the Lady Patriot and Patriot teams. In fact, the two teams combined for seven wins, nine runner-up finishes and seven third-place showings.

The Lady Patriots would score a total of 85 points in the meet to finish second only to the host Lady Rebels, who won with 163 points. Danville placed third with 44 points. In the boys division, the Patriots finished with 66 points total to finish third. Boyle made it a sweep by scoring 160 points and Danville was second with 88 points.
