STANFORD — A man pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree rape in Lincoln County Circuit Court last Friday.

Jason Scott Faith, 44, pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree rape, a Class C felony, and agreed to a recommended 16-year prison sentence, according to Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Neal Tucker.

Faith was originally charged with four counts of incest (forcible compulsion/incapable of consent), two counts of third-degree rape and two counts of second-degree rape.

He was indicted on the charges by a grand jury Aug. 2017, according to court records.

“The incidents arose around 2002 to 2004 with an inappropriate relationship with his step daughter,” Tucker said.

According to the indictment, Faith’s step-daughter was under the age of 14 years old when he engaged in sexual intercourse with her in 2001, and she was under the age of 16 years old when engaged in sexual intercourse with her again in 2003 to 2004.

A formal sentencing is scheduled for April 26.

According to Tucker, Faith will be a lifetime registered sex offender.

Tucker said Detective Frank Thornberry of the Kentucky State Police investigated the case and applauded his work getting the case ready for prosecution.
