Sunday, March 10, Bro. Kyle’s message “Praying for One Another in Hard Times” was taken from 1 Thessalonians 3:9-13. Paul prayed for the Thessalonians from a distance because he had been banished from the city. He continued to pray for them to grow spiritually and to do God’s will in their lives.

He prayed for them in three specific ways. God would open doors for Paul’s return to minister and help the people to grow. Too often we allow our impatience to make us want to do things in our time. It does not work that way. We need to depend on God to work His plans.

Paul prayed for the Christians to have increased love for others. We, too, need to have and demonstrate more love for those around us and in our world. We need to listen to others, demonstrate grace, recognize the value of ALL, and show God’s love by serving others before ourselves.

Paul prayed for all to walk worthy of our calling. We are set apart by His grace and truth. We are adopted by God although we don’t always act holy and too often do the wrong thing. As we grow in Christ, the more we look like Christians and Jesus.
