Gloria Jean Sowder, 55, of Waynesburg, died Saturday morning, Feb. 23, 2019 at her residence.

Gloria was born in Stanford, on June 18, 1963, a daughter of Dorothy Margaret (Goncz) Saylor and Morris Saylor. She was a member of the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church.

Survivors include her father, Morris Saylor; mother, Dorothy M. Goncz Saylor; one uncle, Wayne and wife, Pat Saylor; and several cousins.

Gloria was preceded in death by a brother, David Wayne Saylor; and three uncles, Curtis and Lowell Saylor and James Stevens Goncz.

Funeral services were Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church with Bro. Gary King and Bro. Brad King officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Curt Simpson, Jerry Genton, Hal Oaks, Jeff Reed, Jerry Hertzog and Clarence Caudill.
