The Lincoln County girls’ and boys’ basketball teams begin postseason play next week in the 45th District Tournament.

The tournament gets underway Monday, Feb. 18, at Garrard County Middle School, with Garrard County and Kentucky School for the Deaf facing off in both girls’ and boys’ action at 6:30 and 8:15 p.m.

The four-time defending district champion Lincoln County Lady Patriots, the girls’ No. 1 seed after a coin toss with Danville, will take the court Tuesday in the first semifinal round. The Lady Patriots will play the Garrard/KSD winner at 7:45 p.m.

The Danville and Boyle County girls play in game one Tuesday night. The tip for the girls’ game is 6 p.m.

The Patriots, the No. 2 boys’ seed, will see action Wednesday, Feb. 20, in the second semifinal round, taking on Boyle County at 6 p.m.

Danville, the boys’ No. 1 seed, will play the winner of the Garrard/KSD game Wednesday in the second semifinal game at 7:45 p.m.

The championship games will be played on Friday, Feb. 22 at 6 and 7:45 p.m.
