Child Development Services for children

The Lincoln County Early Childhood program offers child development services to eligible infants and toddlers and their families through Early Head Start, which was recently recognized with a level 5 Kentucky All STARS Rating, the highest level in the state’s quality rating system. Early Head Start enhances children’s physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development. Early Head Start classrooms are located at the Stanford Early Childhood Center at Stanford Elementary. Healthy Choices Lunch Series

A seven-week Healthy Choices Lunch Series will be held at the Stanford Baptist Church Christian Life Center starting Thursday, Feb. 14 at noon sponsored by the Lincoln County Extension Office. Participants will taste a new recipe each week, learn about eating healthy on a budget, and receive tips for managing diabetes and free kitchen goodies. Septic System Problems?

Two free workshops will be held to help those with Septic System Problems. The first will be held Tuesday, Feb. 26 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Junction City First Baptist Church, 3860 Hwy. 127 South, in Danville and the second will be held Tuesday, March 12 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Hustonville Baptist Church Family Life Center. This is for residents who reside within the Hanging Fork and Clarks Run watersheds. The workshop will inform participants of how the septic system works and how to properly maintain it to prevent expensive repairs. South Lincoln FRC Advisory Council meeting

The South Lincoln County Family Resource Center for Waynesburg and Highland Elementary schools, will hold an Advisory Council meeting at Highland Elementary on Thursday, Feb. 7, at 1 p.m. Meetings are open to all.

Area Forage Production meeting

An Area Forage Production meeting will be held Thursday, Feb. 7 at the Boyle County Extension Office, 99 Corporate Drive. All area farmers and agribusiness representatives are invited to attend. What is a High Tunnel?

Come and explore what a high tunnel is. Learn how to grow plants successfully in a high tunnel, how you could benefit from high tunnel growing and about grant availability for constructing a high tunnel. Scholarships available

The Democratic Women’s Club scholarship applications are available in the Lincoln County High School Guidance Center for LCHS senior students who are members of families registered as Democrats. The deadline for submission is February 15.

Girls Who Code Clubs

Girls Who Code Club for grades 3-5 and 6-12 meet at Lincoln County Public Library. The next meeting will be Tuesday, Feb. 19. Local blood donors are heroes

Kentucky Blood Center (KBC) is inviting generous donors to help local patients by giving at the local blood drive scheduled for Monday, Feb. 25 from 3 to 6 p.m. in the cafeteria at Crab Orchard Elementary, 137 Lancaster Street. All donors will receive a long-sleeved KBC Hero T-shirt.
