Cedar Creek Sportsman Club meetings

The Cedar Creek Sportsman Club meets every third Tuesday of the month with a meeting and meal. Membership is $60/year. Anyone wanting to rent building, please contact Phyllis Adams at (606) 355-0276.

The City of Stanford Code Enforcement Board will meet Monday, Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the L&N Depot.

South Lincoln County FRC Advisory Council meeting

The South Lincoln County Family Resource Center for Waynesburg and Highland Elementary schools, will hold an Advisory Council meeting at Highland Elementary on Thursday, Feb. 7, at 1 p.m. Meetings are open to all.

LC Historical Society to meet

The Lincoln County Historical Society will meet Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. at the Lincoln County Public Library. Guest speaker will be Dr. Stephen McBride from Camp Nelson National Monument. A board meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in Community Room 2. Light refreshments will be served. Bring a friend. Yearly fee is $12.

Wilderness Trace Chapter of Kentuckians to meet

The Wilderness Trace Chapter of Kentuckians for the Commonwealth will meet Monday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. at Inter-County Energy Community Room, 1009 Hustonville Road, Danville (community room entrance is on the left side of the InterCounty building).

Father-Daughter Dance

The third annual Father-Daughter Dance, hosted by the Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce, will take place Saturday, Feb. 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stanford Elementary School. Tickets for the event may be purchased at Durham’s Grocery, Morgan’s on Main and Kentucky Soaps & Such, all located in Stanford. You may also call the Chamber office at (606) 365-4118.

Scholarships available

The Democratic Women’s Club scholarship applications are available in the Lincoln County High School Guidance Center for LCHS senior students who are members of families registered as Democrats. The deadline for submission is February 15.

Lincoln County Spelling Bee

Lincoln County Public Schools will hold a County Spelling Bee on Tuesday, Feb. 5. If you are a homeschool operating in Lincoln County and want to participate, please contact Kendra Mitchell at (606) 365-5775 or at kendra.mitchell@lincoln.kyschools.us for more information.

Yarn, Hook & Needles Group

Do you enjoy crafting with yarn, crochet hooks and/or knitting needles? Do you already have interest or want to learn. Join the Yarn, Hook and Needles Group on Monday, Feb. 4 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Lincoln County Extension Office for a time of learning and crafting. For more information, call (606) 365-2447. Girls Who Code Clubs

Girls Who Code Club for grades 3-5 and 6-12 meet at Lincoln County Public Library. The next meeting will be Tuesday, Feb. 19. Nature’s Thyme Herb Group to meet

Nature’s Thyme Herb Group will meet Thursday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. at the Garrard County Extension office. Pat Simpson will discuss and demonstrate “How to make herbal hand cleaners”. Grief Support Group to meet

What is a High Tunnel?

Come and explore what a high tunnel is. Learn how to grow plants successfully in a high tunnel, how you could benefit from high tunnel growing and about grant availability for constructing a high tunnel. This class is being offered Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 6 p.m. at the Lincoln County Extension office with Boyle County Horticulture Agent, Alexis Amorese Sheffield as the instructor. Area Forage Production meeting

An Area Forage Production meeting will be held Thursday, Feb. 7 at the Boyle County Extension Office, 99 Corporate Drive. All area farmers and agribusiness representatives are invited to attend. The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will have discussions on the following topics, We Sprayed our Broadleaf Herbicide, Now What? and Hay Feeding Management and Structure Design, Part 2.

Area Backgrounders Informational meeting

An Area Backgrounders information meeting will be held Monday, Feb. 25 at the Boyle County Extension Office, 99 Corporate Drive in Danville. The program will include information on Feeder Cattle Diets and Marketing Strategies.

Crab Orchard Community Garden

A Crab Orchard Community Garden, sponsored by the Lincoln County 4-H, is free to residents and children. Grow food and share with your neighbors. Supplies provided. Meet at the city park in Crab Orchard the first Friday of each month from 5 to 6 p.m. For more information, call (606) 365-2447.
