The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation of a shooting in Crab Orchard in 2018 that sent one man to the hospital.

According to Deputy Rob Oney, Jacob Wethington was shot outside of a home on KY 39 last Wednesday, Dec. 26. According to the Sheriff’s office, Wethington and another man got into a fight prior to the shots being fired.

Wethington sustained two gunshot wounds, one to the left shoulder and a second to the right lung.

Oney said that Wethington was flown to the UK hospital and that he is expected to survive.

No arrests have been made in the case, but Oney says they have a suspect. He said they are just waiting to process and gather more information before making an arrest.
