Judith Marlene Lester, 78, of McKinney, passed away Friday, Dec. 21, 2018 at home.

Born October 28, 1940 in McKinney, Judith was a daughter of the late Robert L. Sears and Sadie Marie Grubbs Sears. She was the widow of Harold B. Lester. Judith was a retired employee of IBM and LabCorp, and attended McCormack Christian Church.

Survivors include two sons, Harold B. “Sonny” Lester of Lancaster and Robert Jason Lester (Cristy) of McKinney; two sisters, Jeanetta Louise Kersey (Ray) of McKinney and Janet Faye Long (T.J.) of Stanford; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a stepson, Gary Lester.

Visitation was Wednesday, Dec. 26, at Spurlin Funeral Home, Stanford.

Funeral services are at 1:30 p.m. today (Thursday, Dec. 27) at Spurlin Funeral Home with Reverend Doug Simpson officiating.

Casket bearers will be Jason Lester, Sonny Lester, Micah Lester, Cody Lester, Tony Kersey, and Preston Ledford. Honorary bearers are Kay Baxter, Carolyn Yocum, and Hallie Lear.
