Mary Jo Shearer, 68, of Sandy Hook, Ky., formerly of Stanford, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018.

Born Wednesday, May 24, 1950, in Danville, she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Sally Mary Cox Robinson. Mary was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Hansel Shearer.

Survivors include her daughter, Crystal Lee Amaya (Victoria Cagle) of Sandy Hook; brother, Ed (Mildred) Robinson, of Richmond; grandchildren, Alex (Katie) Amaya, Heaven (Jeremiah) Amaya Collins, Brooklyn Stevens, Lawryn Stevens, Koalbryn Stevens; and two great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Jacob Collins II and Hope Dehaila Elizabeth Collins.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2018 at Danville Memorial Gardens with Rev. Darrell Estes officiating and burial to follow.

Visitation will be held noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2018 Ramsey-Young Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Alex Amaya, Jeremiah Collins, Little Harold Donavin, Cody Thomas Ledford, Bradley Walters, Jacob Troxell, Tyler Marple and Isaiah Miller.
