STANFORD — Lincoln County High School recently hosted its annual Winter Showcase. The event was a “one-stop shop” for parents of LCHS students, giving them a free peek at the creativity of their students via exhibits and performances all in one evening.

Students across all courses worked together to put together the Winter Showcase. The event featured all types of exhibits or exhibitions ranging from living “The Refugee Experience” to making ice cream and Christmas ornaments to dissecting fetal pigs. There were also student works on display throughout the school on the subjects of personal profiles, books, historic places, etc.

While all these activities were taking place in the science, language arts and social studies halls, the LCHS cafeteria was transformed into a combination art studio/concert hall. The Lincoln County High School Chorus and Band performed alternately throughout the evening as Winter Showcase visitors viewed the many artworks on display.

Students’ culinary talents were also on display at the event, with a festively decorated food table set up in the cafeteria, which offered visitors a sampling of soups, sandwiches and other finger foods, as well as a refreshing drink.
