Bethel A.M.E. to hold service in honor of “Birthday Month”

Elder Jimmy McPherson of Stony Point Baptist Church will be the guest speaker at Bethel A.M.E. Church, Boneyville, on Sunday, Dec. 23 at 3 p.m. on behalf of “Birthday Month”. Dinner will be served following the morning worship service.

Drakes Creek to present Christmas program

Drakes Creek Baptist Church will present the Christmas program “The Lamb of Bethlehem” on Sunday, Dec. 23 at 6 p.m. The program is a compilation of the account of Jesus’ birth from scripture, some old well-loved Christmas songs and a few newer ones. With written permission, the title as well as the ending narrative are direct quotations from an article written by Dr. Adrian Rogers. The music will be provided by pianist, Vicky Kinnaird. Narration will be by Dennis McCoy. Light refreshments will be served following the program.

Advent Services at Stanford Baptist Church

Advent services scheduled at Stanford Baptist Church include: Monday, Dec. 24 at 5:30 p.m. – Christmas Eve Candlelight and Communion Service (A service of scripture and music); and Sunday, Dec. 30 at 11 a.m. – Student Day at Christmas (Our College Students will conduct the entire service).
