Jimmy Wayne Hinds, 65, of Stanford, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at U.K. Hospital in Lexington. Born March 3, 1953, he was a son of the late George Addison Hinds and Dellar Hodge Hinds Dowell Baugh. Jimmy worked as a concrete truck driver for Concrete Materials in Danville for 48 years.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Lucille Hinds; two sons, Wayne Hinds (Jennifer) and Mike Poirier (Garnetta); seven daughters, Angela Bryant (Stephen), Jennifer Broce (Russell), Susie Johnson (Frank), Cathy Schmiers, Lisa Gayhart (Steve), Teresa Zarate and Sherri Poirier; two brothers, Gene Hinds (Annie) and Michael Dowell (Janet); nine sisters, Pearl Dowell, Janet Kidd, Linda Hall (Charles), Rita Gossett, Rhonda Tarr (Corey), Brenda Walls (Rodney), Glenda Dowell (Ronnie), Debbie Symonds (Gary) and Kathy Rogers; 16 grandchildren, Austin, McKenzie, Cody, Ciara, Chris, Amber, Samantha, Ronnie, Melissa, Jason, Shawn, Jordan, Tracy, James, Trenton and Dylan; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Diane Poirier; and one granddaughter, Christy Robinson Solis.

Funeral services were Saturday, Nov. 17 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford with Rev. Kurt Davis and Rev. Jamie Conn officiating. Burial followed in the Crab Orchard Cemetery in Crab Orchard.

Pallbearers were Austin Hinds, Brandon Graham, Ronnie Dailey, Cody Baker, Shawn Poirier and Ethan Dowell. Honorary pallbearers were Frank Johnson, Mike Poirier, Russell Marcum, Jordan Poirier and Mike Dowell.
